I guess we can laugh about it, but Fireball, based on very logical statements you have made in the past about sponsorship and its important meaning to drivers and the advancement of racing....I wouldn't have picked you as someone finding humor in something that...bottom line, is hurtful to that sponsorship effort of GP drivers. The fact that this loss of a full page-full color ad impacts negatively those winning drivers is something that should rise above, and well above, any personal preferences to one up someone on this board. Sponsorship is a serious matter for our drivers, and anyone who hurts that effort is no friend of racing.

another gem from GPSadmin:
"
She was probably nice to you...but she didn't cut any corners with me. She told me straight up that the reason the sponsorship was gone...was because of your continuing and non-stop inquires and keeping her and her staff tied up with questions about this deal. Requiring them to do endless research, going over and over the ballots. They don't have time for that. And more than that, they really didn't know one driver from another and had absolutely zero bias on the deal."

bullcookies Keith...
why do you continue to tell people what She said..?

i made 3 calls in 2 years....1 of 2 was a callback at her request..
so it's actually 2 calls...in 2 years.

das right...3 times....
Is that what you mean by,
quote:
".. non-stop inquires and keeping her and her staff tied up with questions about this deal. Requiring them to do endless research, going over and over the ballots."...
the ballots were ALREADY counted and the awards were ALREADY given out you knucklehead!..

yup..all 3 calls were after the end of the season
because you refused to give the driver totals to the fans.......duh huh.....

i called and a secretary answered the phone and i asked for her by name
....i NEVER discussed anything at all with any other enployees.....write this down keith~~~>NEVER...

tell ya what professor..post the dates of the conversations i had with this lady..

surely you can?..
i mean i killed the deal here according to you.

i have those dates...
and my notes........go for it my friend.

i think you may be forgetting old buddy,
we been down this road 3 times ...

3 times now...same bottom line as before.

she said she said she said and another thing...he said he said and he said...
then she said she said he said she said and she said it after he did...blah blah blah...

i'll bet you can't even tell me the winners names for those 2 years...

go ahead....love to see ya do it...since you know EVERY little details about it,...prove it with some facts.

c'mon...give it a whirl ....

it'll be more fun for all...

Bud,
I have this really sweet deal working. I was wandering if you could make some phone calls and screw it up for me? I hear you're the man that can do it.

GPSadmin says:

"The ONLINE votes were all counted, but muted in the final effect because they were multiplied by .2. I told you they were WEIGHTED."............

really?...when exactly did you tell anyone their votes would be weighted?..
das right, AFTER you decided to do it.

it NEVER said that at the online G'news voting site and
you NEVER mentioned this new rule to anyone before they cast votes on line.

i listened to you at the track on your PA System telling people to go and vote online..
NOT once did i hear you tell anyone there votes would NOT be a "fully" counted vote and would be Lessened by your "weighing" their votes down by a fractional multiplier..

after the fact seems to be the key here...

maybe you could let everyone know this PRIOR to participating?
tell them what you intend to do with their efforts later??

in the finally tally, all OUR votes meant less...YOU made it that way, NOT the fans.
yet you continue to find blame elsewhere...

you come here and ask someone to find a better way...
why?...
if you openly admit to doctoring the deal after it's over, why would anyone think you won't doctor any new methods.??

every thought i have about FFD voting and it's outcome is based on your Open statements and your actions regarding FANS votes, right here in the open...

so please forget trying to turn it around and blame somebody else for your actions and decisions..

thanx,

bud

I never called anyone but I guess my multiple online votes screwed it up this year. Sorry guys.

If my calculations are correct, my 400 votes multiplied by 0.2 still got my favorite drivers 80 votes each. I guess my two hours voting wasn't a total wash.

LOL DTJ, you make a very good point. There are obvious issues with the online voting that I would like to have corrected if this promotion goes next season.
